  • Research :

    • Development of 3D numerical methods for the analysis of volcano deformation (boundary elements, fictitious domain methods, point source superposition, inversion methods) ;
    • Study of the transfer and storage of magma
    • Study of the interactions between magma movement and faults
    • Study of the influence of intrusions on flank stability
    • Development of methods for the analysis of deformation and seismicity data
    • Joint inversions of deformation and gravity data, joint inversions of muography and gravity data.

    Targets: Piton de la Fournaise volcano (Réunion Island, France), Nyiragongo and Nyamulagira volcanoes (Democratic Republic of Congo), Kilauea Volcano (Hawaii, U.S.A.), Soufriere Hills volcano (Montserrat, West Indies).

    Mentoring :

    Scientific and administrative responsibilities :

    • 2020-present: In charge of the Volcanology group;
    • 2019-present: member of the organizing committee of the Laboratory of Excellence ClerVolc. In charge of theme 2 dedicated to the structure and the deformation of volcanic edifices.
    • 2018-present: elected member of the scientific committee of Observatoire de Physique du Globe de Clermont.
    • 2007-2016: Member of the scientific committee of Vulcania in St Ours.
    • 2011-2016: in charge of the computer commission for Laboratoire Magmas et volcans.
