Brett Carr nous fera une présentation sur : Lava Flow Emplacement during the Ongoing Eruption of Sinabung Volcano, Sumatra, Indonesia

Voici un petit résumé :

An effusive eruption at Sinabung Volcano (Sumatra, Indonesia) has been ongoing since late 2013. The continuous eruption of lava has led to the emplacement of a 2.9 km long lava flow and a series of smaller lava lobes and domes. Collapses of the erupted lava have generated numerous deadly pyroclastic flows and forced the evacuation of thousands.  This talk will provide an overview of the eruption and discuss the emplacement of the main lava flow. Photogrammetry and satellite remote sensing techniques were used to observe the growth of the lava flow and describe how multiple factors contribute to the development of instabilities in the lava that lead to collapse-generated pyroclastic flows.
