The Chaîne des Puys – Limagne Fault Tectinic Arena has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. This short talk is to give you a resumé of what this means. What has been the process? What does it mean for the University? Is there a real impact locally or internationally?

I’ll explain some of perspectives for the management of natural risk (=resilience) that are rapidly expanding as well as opportunities to bring our science to a larger global public using geoheritage.
